Scientists from the University of Granada in Spain discovered that maslinic acid can inhibit serine protease, which is the enzyme that HIV uses to release itself from infected cells to the outside and spread throughout the body of infected people. Maslinic acid has anti-tumor and anti-HIV effects, and can reduce the chance of HIV spreading in the body by 80%.
